I think I read somewhere that you need the 2.6 kernel to use a laptop mouse. I'm not sur though. I think your best bet would be to try Mandy 10 again, maybe the official version.

Hi there. I have a thinkpad 600e running Mandrake 10. For my mouse set up, I have it set to universal->any ps/2 and usb mice under the Mandrake Control Center. My trackpoint is working all nice and happy. I hope you can get yours to work.

Thanks. I think I will install Mandrake 10 and set my mouse to Any PS/2 or USB mouse.
