New Hard disk and LILO
 

I have two hard disks with Mandriva 10.1on the second hard disk.I have installed a new
primary hard disk with win xp on it but I cant install Lilo via the Mandriva10.1 upgrade option.
Is there any way around this without performing a complete Linux reinstall.

Yes. The only thing that you have lost is the lilo record on the MBR. Use a rescue CD to boot into Mandrake. Then edit /etc/lilo.conf to accomodate your new OS configuration. Then install lilo on the primary hard disk MBR by running the lilo command.
