I have this exact same wireless USB and it worked fine in Mandrake 9.1. Since then, I have given it to my sister so I can't tell you if it will work with Mandrake 10.1. I would think that if it worked in Mandrake 9.1, it should work with Mandrake 10.1.
Also according to this review, a person with Mandrake 10.1 had no problems with it.

Yes, I suspect it should be fine. What other versions of Mandrake 10.1 were you thinking of?
Edit: I see. you were thinking that he paid for the $50 version of Mandrake, according to the review. What he means is that he paid $50 for the Netgear MA101 Wireless USB, NOT Mandrake.

Will atmelwlandriver do it?
I have noticed that there is "general" driver for Linux that controls many different types of wireless cards. I downloaded http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...group_id=59001 from the article http://atmelwlandriver.sourceforge.n...o-4.html#ss4.1. The problem is that when I try to follow the Readme file to run # make config I get the error message below. Please also note the kernel version I'm using.
Code:
In My Terminal Window I have:
[root@localhost atmelwlandriver]# dir
CHANGES Makefile Makefile.kernelv2.6 objs README src
COPYING Makefile.kernelv2.4 man patch scripts
[root@localhost atmelwlandriver]# make config
make: *** No rule to make target `config'. Stop.
[root@localhost atmelwlandriver]# uname -a
Linux localhost 2.6.17-5mdv #1 SMP Wed Sep 13 14:32:31 EDT 2006 i686 Pentium III (Katmai) GNU/Linux
[root@localhost atmelwlandriver]#
Thank you for any help
