Need help with Mandrakelinux install on old PC
I have an old PC with 48MB of RAM and no CDROM drive.
I want to install Mandrakelinux. It will not let me do an ftp or http install. It wants me to do an NFS install. I do not have access to any NFS server with Mandrakelinux. Any recommendations (tips or tricks) on how I can still do some kind of an install via ftp or http? Thanks. |
With such a small amount of RAM, you would have to use a much older version. There are several smaller distros out there, one or two of which are floppy versions that you could try. I can't recall what the name is but you can do a search at www.distrowatch.com for what you are needing.
