Need help with Alcatel speedtouch 330 + mandrake 10
 

Hi everyone,

Im a linux newbie and im having problems getting connected to the internet with mandrake 10. Im using an alcatel speedtouch 330 USB ADSL modem and use a provider in the UK called pipex.net. For those of you who know something about this modem, I have done everything i've been asked. Including loading the microcode (mgmt.o), making sure im using pppoa and have the correct vpi and vci codes. I have tried using several tutorials people have provided, as this seems to be a common problem. I've tried using roaring penguin, but i think it only works for pppoe. This is my last hope, im at my wits end! could someone please give me instructions that really work and maybe even get in contact with me - brianellis@hotmail.com
