need help installing mandrake 9.2

i ordered the 3 cd's but when i put the first one in, it says it will restart my computer and install mandrake but it just boots back up and nothing happens...

do i have to make it so my cd-rom boots up first, then hard drive second?

Unless you want to make a boot floppy to get it to boot, then I would go into your bios and set it to boot the cdrom then your hard drives and when you are done installing you can always change it back.

i already made it so it would boot the cdrom first, hd second but it still booted the hd up.

i dont know how to get a boot floppy to work. i did that, i took the cd.img and wrote it onto a floppy but whenever i set it up in bios it would say invalid boot diskette.
