Need default urpmi.cfg for Mandriva LE 2005 DVD
Hmmmm, well, giving Mandrake/Mandriva a spin. I have not used it since 8.x
In trying to add PLF to URPMI I had an error with invaild signatures.
I know I have seen the solution but was not finding it.
In an apparently brainless moment I decided I would "reinitialize" the file by following the advice on the EasyURPMI site.

Also, you might want to type urpmi.removemedia -a first, in order to reinitialize urpmi's setup.
I was not really aware reinitialize and delete were synonymous, but the urpmi.cfg file is history.
A post of a urpmi.cfg file or instructions to re-add my install DVD are appreciated.

"urpmi.removemedia -a" removes all urpmi sources you had configured. Its easy to get them back by repeating the configuration process using the instructions at the easyurpmi website. If you want to remove just one repository then you do "urpmi.removemedia repositoryname". Unfortunately there isn't a default urpmi.cfg because it dpends on your method of installation and what repositories were configured afterwards.

As I mentioned, re-adding my install DVD as a URPMI source is what I want. I know there were multiple entries for the software on the DVD, and I can find the 6 hdlistx.gz files but I do not know the format or method needed to re-add them.
Since anyone installing from DVD would have a urpmi.cfg file with the correct format it would be useful for me to see. Correct instructions for adding the DVD specifically as opposed to online sources as shown at Easy URPMI could help also.

Have you tried using RPMDrake to do this?

Okay, how do I use RPMDrake to add my install DVD to my urpmi.cfg file?

There should be a section in the Software managment module that enables you to setup software (urpmi sources).

urpmi.addmedia --distrib removable://mnt/cdrom

is the correct command to restore the install media.
