ndiswrapper?

I just installed mandrake 10.2 or 2005 special edition or something. I got through everything fine but then when I go to configure my wireless card (netgear wg311v2 802.11g pci) I click on use existing driver then the next prompt is something like find new driver/ use installed driver(for windows I presume) and then I click the installed driver. It comes up to a screen that says net in small letters in the top left and I click next. I know its vague but I hope you know what I mean or can look if your in linux but I have to boot into windows. Anyways I get this error whenever I click next...

inspod'ing module ndiswrapper failed at usr/lib/libDrakx/modules.om line 66

what do I need to do to get this working? I have no experience in linux sorry but I cant learn more until I get the internet to work.

*edit*I uninstalled/reinstallled ndiswrapper and it still doesnt work. I also did the find new driver and put the netgear cd in and selected the driver and it still doesnt work with the same error.

In my experience, ndiswrapper is somewhat unstable and not the most ideal wireless driver for Linux as it is just a wrapper around the windows drivers so there are some fundamental differences in the way the driver works.

I recommend you look at http://www.linux-wlan.org - these are native linux drivers and support a wide range of wireless cards.
