MultiNetworkFirewall vs. 9.2+DrakeWizard+Webmin

Greetings,

Can anybody outline the foundational differences between using MNF and 9.2?

My implementation is for a Server and I would like to have Apache, Webmin, MySQL, PHP standard. I can get this going pretty good in 9.2 with wizdrake and webmin.

Plus I a strong firewall and VPN. Seemingly MNF's purpose.

At first I thought MNF was a "addon-rpm-program" that was being offered as a addon to 9.2. And then I realized it was actually another kernel OS version of Mandrake.

Is the correct thought as follows?

1. Use MNF on a computer as a firewall box.
2. connect 9.2 as your server BEHIND MNF.

Looking for the Conceptual Foundational Structure of Integration between these two packages and wondering if they go hand in hand or do completley different things.

Anybody shed some light?

Thanks!

You have it quite correct.

Most use the MNF on an old slow system that can't do much else. The data flows through it with no speed problems for most home users.
Its basicly just a stripped down Mandrake with just enough included to do its job.
