Mozilla or Firefox shuts off

Hi,
I am using Mandriva 2006 and I noticed that both Mozilla and Firefox
will completely shut off if you browse certain websites..The one I go to is Toms Hardware...I can browse the entire website in Konqueror without a problem...Has anyone else had a problem like this?
I googled but was unable to find a specific cause..
I can use both those browsers in Suse without a problem and thus think it is Mandriva specific..
Anyone?
Thank you,
jolphil

You may consider running Mozilla/Firefox from the command line instead. If/when it crashes, you will get a better output of errors on the console. I just went to Tom's Hardware and the latest Firefox worked fine for me. You may also consider upgrading your browsers if you did not do that already

Thank you MegaMan X for the suggestion..
I have previously tried that and got a "Segmentation fault" but did not know what that meant..
I ran it from the command line with the " --sync" and got a huge
error and heres the last portion of the error..

SetWindow
SetWindow
SetWindow
SetWindow
Destroy
The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadShmSeg (invalid shared segment parameter)'.
(Details: serial 108 error_code 169 request_code 147 minor_code 2)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

The above was run with the --sync options..
Any idea what that means?
thanks again

update

To update this post...I went on google and searched "BadShmSeg" and found various hits..It's thought to be caused by the Gecko engine but no one so far seems to have found a solution..It also seems to be in various versions of Mozilla,Thunderbird and Opera..
My Mozilla is version 1.7.11 ...
I guess this bug lives on and on..
