mouse problems in mandrake 9.2

hi guys..

I want to install my mouse in mandrake 9.2 (it's USB) and on startup it recognize that I plugged a new mouse and offers me lots of types to select my mouse from, but when I click Enter it doesnt seem to work...
what can I do?? (I'm very new to linux, so pls try to explain how did you get to everything...)

Hi,

A while ago I had a similar problem with a USB mouse. I found one solution was to unplug the mouse, boot the pc and then when the system was up and running plug the mouse in. This was with a slightly later version of MDK but its worth a try.

I have a PS2 mouse that had issues.

I forget how to swap to the console, but get there and type 'mousedrake' and start trying the options. Not entirly sure if 9.2 has mousedrake, im new also and im using 10.1.
