Mounting CD in MNF

Whenever I attempt to mount the CDROM in Mandrake MNF I get a message about /dev/cdrom not found. How do I get the drive to mount so I can copy a few files over.

/dev/cdrom is usually a symlink to one of the devices such as /dev/hdc - Try just creating the symlink to your actual device - so for hdc:
ln -s /dev/hdc /dev/cdrom

Check your /dev Directory for the device first, if you have a CD burner or a DVD drive, It'll probably rename it something like /dev/scd for a burner and I'm not sure about the DVD drive.

Just in case you're a complete new linux user (not implying that you are) and don't know how to check your the files in your /dev directory, here's the command:

ls /dev
