Hi all!
I recently installed Mandriva on my desktop pc as a
dual boot os with Windows; this problem does not
occur in Windows. After it is idle for a while, the
screensaver goes black, and after that the problem starts.
The display goes black, except for a message; the message
alternates between
``power save''
and
``attn. no signal.
check input signal
connection or
power save mode
has been enabled''
over and over!

I searched this forum, and found what I thought might
solve the problem:

put the following commands in xinitrc:
setterm -blank 0 -powersave off -powerdown off
xset s off

This did not fix the problem.

How can I fix this?
