Modem ess 2838/2839
Hi!
Anyone has the proper drivers for that WinModem? The one I got from Linmodems is compiled with GCC 2 and I run GCC 3 in Mandrake 9.2. So it gives me an error, it cannot use GCC 3 Thanks Richard  |
try http://phep2.technion.ac.il/linmodem.../msg04424.html
It seems to be good for you... I will try it within few days, too, so I will inform about the results ;-) |
Ess Modems
Ok thanks.
I will try it soon! Rich |
Please don't forget to inform here about results ;-)
Because it's little confusing for me that I placed here not checked link :/ regards Mart |

Hi! I tried to compile but nothing! buch of errors.
I saw this in the read me file: Console, callout device and proc fs support are disabled for now. How do I disable them?? maybe it's why I get so many errors: [root@localhost esscom-2.4-1]# ./compile_it In file included from essserial.c:67: /usr/include/linux/version.h:2:2: #error "=======================================================" /usr/include/linux/version.h:3:2: #error "You should not include /usr/include/{linux,asm}/ header" /usr/include/linux/version.h:4:2: #error "files directly for the compilation of kernel modules." /usr/include/linux/version.h:5:2: #error "" /usr/include/linux/version.h:6:2: #error "glibc now uses kernel header files from a well-defined" /usr/include/linux/version.h:7:2: #error "working kernel version (as recommended by Linus Torvalds)" /usr/include/linux/version.h:8:2: #error "These files are glibc internal and may not match the" /usr/include/linux/version.h:9:2: #error "currently running kernel.
