/mnt access denied

Hey all,

I'm new to Linux and I have a problem...

I installed a new hard disk and CD ROM. Although they seem to be mounted correctly (at /mnt), I can't access them since the security settings on /mnt won't allow me. So, how do I change the security settings on /mnt to allow all users to access it?

Thanks in advance.

a couple easy ways..........

if it's desktop icon access you want, right click on the drive icon, go to permissions, & change them to you (user).

you can also run userdrake from terminal as root & add user (you) to the mount group, among others. click on user, click edit, go to groups tab for that.
