menudrake trashes my ~/.icewm/menu changes

whenever I run menudrake, it resets the change in ~/.icewm/menu I've made to the icewm submenu containing icepref. Thinking menudrake was using the global icewm menu as a prototype I found (This was hard because none of the icewm config files are in the locations given by icehelp) and edited that but still no go.

So question #1 - do I just give up on menudrake and edit the config files directly?
question #2 - is there an easier way to find the global menu config files than searching every file with a grep for icepref (which btw crashes xfglob)?

I know I'm seriously new, but it seems I am getting stumped at every turn. Is there some other question I should be asking?

Thanks - Joel

I had a similar problem. After editing my icewm menu with menudrake, it would trash my /.icewm/menu and change it back to the default menu. I think it had something to do with the fact that I also had IceWMCP installed. The way I worked around it was after editing the menu, I would set the permissions where it could not be written to. Also, you might want to try Icecc to edit the menu, background and preferences. I hope this helps.
