MDK9.2 and flac
 

Ever since I discovered flac I have wanted to implement it on my Mdk9.2 workstation.
Now I found a bundle of packages on a website.
The package I must yet install is flac-xmms-1.1.0-5mdk.i586.rpm
But I get an error message:

#rpm -i flac-xmms-1.1.0-5mdk.i586.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
libid3-3.8.so.3 is needed by flac-xmms-1.1.0-5mdk

Then I do this:

#locate libid3-3.8.so.3
/usr/local/lib/libid3-3.8.so.3.0.0
/usr/local/lib/libid3-3.8.so.3
#

The failing package is installed but I guess that the flac-xmms package expects it in another directory, maybe...

Who knows the answer?

try finding a package containing the object on rpm.pbone.net (advanced search, put on "provides" ;-) ) install that RPM.

I'd think your current .o is in the wrong place
