I have:

Acer Aspire 1355LM

AMD Mobile 2600++
40 Gb
512 Mb RAM ( -64 to video shared)
DVD -RW Pioner
Modem, sound
15'' TFT

only 1399€ in december, 2003
Today is 1299€

I have Mandrake 10.0 and windows XP

Mandrake runs quite well but the graphics are vesa (not acelerated) and modem don't work without non free drivers

With new kernel I can't see the temperature of chip and shutdown correctly

Thumbs up Dell Laptop

I have a Dell Latitude D600 and mandrake 9.2 and 10.0 CE both work fine on it. As with most things, a little tweeking and configuration was needed, but both versions worked out of the box.

Dell?

I can't tell you which one works, but I can tell you which one is tricky. Inspiron 8100. I am having lots of problems with Mandrake 10. Eventually I know I will be able to tune it. But I know is going to be a hard way!

i have Dell 600m - you have to install and configure ndiswrapper and use the xp drivers for the wireless card to work. It now works for me.
