MDK 10 & a disapearing network

Hello all I am currently running a MDK19 Community Edition install on a Toshiba Satellite laptop computer.

When installing it sees my PCMCIA Network card fine (eth0)and I can install it all nicely. It allows me to connect through to the internet and after playing with Samba I have a few basic network shares.

My problem comes when I shut the machine down and restart it, the network connection is no longer there, no lights on the netword PCMCIA card and everything seems dead I can no longer connect. It no longer shows up on HardDrake and if I delete it I cannot reinstall it, this leads me to a full reinstall of MDK10 and a dread on ever powering the thing off.

Anyone come across this before ?

Any assistance greatfully accepted.
