mdk 10.1 CE problem with security updates

I've just installed 10.1CE (discs courtesy of a linux mag). When I install, I think it prudent to to a security update asap. I've noticed that in rpm Media Manager, only the 3 discs were listed as sources, and no option to update_sources from an ftp mirror. I tried to add one, but no matter what mirror I selected, it was always denied. Has anyone else experienced this?

In MDK 9.2/10 there certainly is the option to do be able to do this. I looked at Mandrake Linux website, and from what I can tell, the security updates seem to relate only up to mdk10?

Thanks for this. However, how do I find the list for 10.1 official mirrors to try this out?

Cheers.

Been to Easy URPMI and ...

whilst security updates are available for 10.1 > these are only for Official

Confirming that your OS is 10.1CE removes the option for security updates - it seems that if you run the CE edition, you are unable to secure your system. Back to 10.0

'updates' for CE were added to the main/contrib sources so therefore there was no dedicated stream for update_source to hook onto.
