After the startup progressbar is finished and before KDE starts the computer justs pauses for 1-2 minutes. It's just a blue screen with the mandrake logo in the lower corner. The computer is not connected to any network but has a network card, could it be waiting for a DHCP host or something similar?
if u use a themed startup (with mandrake logo...) press escape or f2 to see what's happening behind the screen.
also, check services to disable in "mandrake control center" (in system - services). it's probably a problem due to an attempt to connect to a network...
Yeah ,I have the same problem ,(It's even slower than win xp) and I just did an upgrade (from Mandrake 10.0). Pressing esc or f2 doesn't help. It shows nothing. I don't have any special services running .
Any suggestions ? Anybody?
