maya on mandrake 10.1 error

I just installed maya for linux, got my key installed and such. When I run it however, I get

/usr/local/bin/maya: line 26: syntax error near unexpected token `"$OSname"'
/usr/local/bin/maya: line 26: `switch ("$OSname")'

not sure how to resolve this.

Any ideas? thanks

Fixed: needed to install CSH

Type "file /usr/local/bin/maya"

If it reports that it is a shell script or ascii file, edit the file and see what it's looking for.

You may need to adjust it.

thanks, it looks like i do need to edit the file. Ive learnt so much Linux stuff while spending so much time on this problem, but now ive gone to knowing nothing about linux, to knowing nothing about how im supposed to edit this script.

i guess if anyone has delt with this problem and has a fix, i could use the help.

Why not post the pertinent lines of the script?

As sheridansellers said in his post :

Apparently the maya start script is written in csh ("switch" is the csh equivalent of bash "case").
Install tcsh with 'urpmi tcsh' and it should work.
