Just posted this on Mandriva forum, so please excuse if you have seen it there.

Installed new 2007 version from Linux Mag, there are some threads that say this may not be a final version, but don't honestly know.

Xfree is getting confused re my PS2 mouse. I'm getting an error

(EE) XF860OpenSerial. Cannot open device /dev/mouse

ls /dev shows mouse@ in white type surrounded by a red background. Not sure what that signifies...

The mouse does not move and well I am stuck. Is the mouse linked to /dev/mouse or is it elsewhere, such as /dev/input or something?

Sure you've got a PS/2 mouse ? If so, and it's plugged into the PS/2 receptable in your PC, Mandriva will see the mouse as a universal mouse instead of specifically a PS/2 mouse. It should work if Mandriva or you choose "universial" at the install summary screen.
