Mandriva 2008 PowerPack is not free. There is a Free edition that you should use if you don't want to pay for it.

see http://www.mandriva.com

No it doesn't, but like bassplayer69 said, Powerpack is not meant to be free, you are meant to pay for it. There is a free version available, which is exactly the same, but for some proprietary software, video drivers, flash, adobe reader, etc which is included with the PowerPack. Most of this is available to you from the repo's, and or Net if you download/use the FREE DVD version.

So apart from getting that warm fuzzy feeling you would get from doing the right thing, if you deleted your downloaded PowerPack version, and got the FREE DVD version from Mandriva, or one of it's mirrors, you would also be protecting yourself from getting something which may have been tampered with, and thus may not work as it should, or have other unwanted consequences.

The Free version is available as a One Live CD, 3 CD Install, the Free DVD, and a dual arch mini. I think

The March issue of Linux Pro Magazine comes with Powerpack 2008 DVD----FREE. (Magazine is $10 US)

But, why a DVD? The best way to install Linux is from ONE CD--then use the package manager to add stuff.
(If you have only a dial-up connection, then the DVD makes more sense.)
