Mandriva One 2007.0 hard drive install from live cd
i was using the mandriva 2007.0 one live cd and wanted to do a fresh install to the hard drive. the mandriva website says "just a few clicks and it's done". where is the app to do that at? i went thru all the programs that come with the live cd and didn't find any. is it drak? is it done thru a terminal? is it done at the boot prompt? maybe it is missing from this live cd distro. by the way mandriva 2007.0 looks good and has nvidia support right from the get go.
If you are using the Mandriva One discs, there is an icon on the desktop, thats labelled as "Live Install". Thats the one you should use to install Mandriva One to hard disk.

that's what i thought, but it is not there. is there any other way? by the way it is "metisse".
i tried this and got as far as formtting the drive (mandriva 2006) and then it crashed.
maybe i had a bad disc, not sure but it also wiped my bootloader and therfore took windows with it.
sheesh. (i tried the boot repair, it seems to be a dark science.)
I should have mentioned, I had a similar problem. Switched from an old 16MB Voodoo3 2000 card to an old Nvidia TNT2 card (also just 16MB) and problem solved. The Nvidia card must have something the Voodoo card does not. Also 512MB RAM and AMD 1800+ processor. Meet or exceed these specifications and you should be OK I think.
I had the same installation problem as above. How do you issue commands as root? In Ubuntu/Debian it's sudo. Is it the same thing in Mandriva? Do we have to put sudo before
/usr/sbin/draklive-install?
Sorry for my silly questions. Complete newbie here.

Open Terminal.
Type su and enter
Then /usr/sbin/draklive-install and hit enter
