Mandriva does not recognize 3Com Megahertz PC Card

I recently installed Mandriva 2010 on my laptop. When I insert the 3Com Megahertz PC Card it is not recognized in the hardware listing. The Model number of the card is 3CXE589EC.
I have another 3Com Megahertz PC Card, Model number 3CXFE575BT that does work.
Can anyone tell me why the first card will not work and the second will? And is there a way to fix this problem.
When it comes to Linux I am about 2 steps below Newbie.
Tks
Lloyd

IMHO, some companies release unix/Linux modules for their hardware, But most don't.!!!!

Like LexMark printers. (personal issue)

Many others will not put labour into free software....

So, you may be stuck, but at least you know what does work.

Any time I want to print I have to login to Window$.

I could get a GNU/Linux compatible printer But.....
