Mandriva 2007 PowerPack not Loading NVIDIA SATA Driver

When Booting from the Mandriva 2007 DVD no matter what options i pick to use to boot,

- The installer will load fine in graphical mode
- When the machine gets to the HDD Detection Stage, and loads the nv_sata driver it will fail to load and not detect my hdd's

Suse 10.2 will load fine and so will Fedora

i have not tried using a floppy load of the latest drivers yet but im not sure why this is?

Any Sugestions would be great... :D

according to this link (as I do not have your hw) it may use the silicon driver instead

http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/sh...t=3410&cat=all

Silicon Image 3114R RAID controller:
- 4 x Serial ATA with RAID0, 1,10, and RAID5

and lower down ...last post

Sata_Sil SATA 1 is detected correctly

see if on install you can choose a diff driver?
