I take it you would just Copy/Paste that over the one already there?
Or is the .config folder automatically done once you run the update .pkgs?

And should I copy any of the other files that have to do with the Cedega install as well?

I take it you don't have to worry about the Games you may or maynot have installed at the time?

Just the Cedega install?

I know alot of questions, but I just like to keep my feathers numbered... THANKS AGAIN...
Sorry for the "U" my bad it's contagious when you play MMOGs... lol really sorry

well i did like that when i changed from distro: after i've installed all my games with cedega and did full updates i 've burned on a cd or dvd (no matter the media) i've copy the the folowing stuff the *.rpm for mandriva and the *.rpm for others rpm based distro and the .cedega folder and . the .transgaming_global folder you may want to copy the TrasnGaming_Drive folder but i didn't copy ot... after a format of your home or installing on a new HDD install the cedega rpm them ecrase the .cedega and the .transgaming_global folders then just run cedega to make the auto updates from those folder for last pkg and fonts...

Angry

Here's an interesting Twist, if anyones willing to take a SHOT at it...

I installed Cedega last night, everything went Flawless.

My system passed all the Test.

Installed Scrabble Ver 2 {SUPPORTED} Came up couldn't initalize sound.

Installed Scrabble Complete {SUPPORTED} came up Need CD in Drive.
"This Disk works in Windows."

Installed Civ 3 {SUPPORTED} Wouldn't even come up.

Ran System Test again said my OSS Sound failed...

Funny theres nothing that could/can be a wrong with my OSS...
Because I run DOOM3 as well as it's EXP Pack, and they require OSS , to get the proper sound.

What Gives???

While I agree Cedega form what I've heard is a "MAJOR" improvement over WINE...

It's still saddled with alot of WINE's Prob's.

Unhappy

While as I've said before...

I'm sure Cedega is a decent Program and with FURTHER devolpment will be a REAL asset to the Linux Programs.
But being built on WINE still has some of WINE's probs.

As said above the problems I'm still having are the same I've had in WINE to begin with.

Not with these specific Programs mind you, but older ones...

I haven't given up on getting it to get it to work on my Mandriva box.
I'm just not making it a High priority at this point.
I've got the .rpm burnt to CD, and will work on it as time permits.

But as I've still got XP on a seperate partition on my HD, I'll deal with it that way for now.

I've got several Wind ws games runing on my Mandriva Partition as it is, those they make shell script installers for.
And they are my favs to begin with...

It's just at this point I see no reason to Spend $66 on something I'm going to have Headaches getting to run...

But as I've said I'll give it another shot in the future, It's worth that much...

BiPolar,

I'm really sorry that you can't make yours favs games running under cedega or wine. As you said those games of yours are supposed to be supported go to the transgaming forum and ask for their support i'm not a cedega specialist unfornatly... if you have the cedega key that you got from mandriva go register it or itś already done... Transgaming are the guys that can help to deal with cedega problems. For my personal point of vue i only play 1 game on windows 'coz there isn't any support on cedega 've tried wine and cedega and no succes i hope that my fav game could run under cedega or wine but it don't...

Yes I've registered my Cedega with the given me by Mandriva.

I went to their Forums and you've given me more to go on then they have been able to...

I asked Cedega about it, gave them my Config and everything, all they told me is everything looks a GO...
But don't understand why I'm having probs with it.

But that they are looking into it...

As I said before sooner or lter I'll figure it out...

Thanks again for all of your help... I'm most Grateful.
