Mandriva 2006 disables IRQ #11
 

I install Mandriva 2006. Everything seems to be alright. Sometimes after the operating system is running I receive a dialog box with:

Message from syslogd@localhost at Wed May 24 22:47:45 2006 ...
localhost kernel: Disabling IRQ #11

I don't detect any mal function and don't remember what IRQ #11 controls...

The machine is a celeron 1 GHz and I bought it 2 or 3 years ago. It has 384 MB, 3 USB ports, video/sound on board, realtek fast ethernet card, IDE HD 7200 RPM(controller on board too) 40 GB.

I don't remember if IRQ#11 is associated with fast ethernet card, but the connection with the cable modem via ethernet card remains OK even after the mentioned message is sent.

Can someone of you explain me what's happen and wich would be the effects of disable IRQ#11? Is there a way of correct this trouble?

(before this installation of Mandriva 2006 I had mandrake 10.1 community installed and no troubles of any kind.)

It is informative more than anything else.
One of the service is monitoring events like that.
If you disable the service (see drakxservices you will no longer get it.)
It might be a kde service...

IRQ11 can be used ny many devices
On my PC it tells me that when it hibernates and put the pcmcia card to sleep
