Mandriva 10.1 on raid 0? how to partition?

So i have two 40 gb on a MSI mobo and they are striped.

but when i install mandrake, it shows 2 hard drives, hda and hdb, instead of one.

how do i setup one hard drive to install everything???

when i choose, the clear disk and it auto partitions, it puts it only on one disk and when it reboots, i get the L 99 99 99 screen.

Also during package install, i get an error on quite a few packages, but i click to continue the install, whats up with that?

thanks.

If this machine is to be a dedicated Linux machine, then i'd suggest doing software raid instead, and the installer should easily let you manually set up whatever raid volumes you wish to use during the install. in my experience it's a lot more flexible.

it would be a partition per... well.. partition. each one will seperately be a raid device. so rather than having /boot on /dev/hda1, it would be /dev/md0. just create a reid device on the partitions, and then the md device is assigned with the mountpoint.
