Recently when starting the Mandrake Control Center I get a pop up box named MandrakeLinux Tools Log. Nothing is printed in this box, and I have not been able to find any references to it on the Internet.
I can remove it but everytime I do something in the Control Center it pops up again. I find it very irritating and don't know how to stop it popping up.

Any ideas what it might be and how to stop would be greatly appreciated.

I am running Mandrake Community 10.1 in KDE (I wish I knew which version. Where do I find that information???)

You have clicked on the "Log" menu item (Options -> Log, IIRC) in the Mandrake Control Center. Just "uncheck" it from the menu.
