mandrake update with other servers


Is it possible to use mandrake update with servers that are not official update servers. What I mean is I want to update other packages then the once that are presented on the update servers. So if I put an other server with rpm packages on it, does it work then? Or should I do this over RPMDrake?

why not add a specific media ?
urpmi.addmedia my_unofficiall_1 ftp://blablalbla with /path_to/hdlist.cz
