Ok, so I'm a total linux newb but I love it so fdar. I'm using mandrake 10.1 official and so far everything is working except two things, first of all my cd rw is only showing up as a cdrom but I don't mind that so I'll work on it later. My main problem is printing. I have a shared printer that is connected to an xp machine that I print to. Samba was already configured when it was installed and I can browse the computer that it is shared to but when I try to add a shared printer throught the wizard, it can't find a printer. Any help? thanks.

that might not necessarily be a problem - if you open the KDE CD burning app K3B, you should find your burner listed in the top-left window. in fact, when you first run K3B, it should ask for confirmation of the maximum burn speed....
