Mandrake Definitive Guide vs. Powerpack books

Hi,
A few years ago I bought the Mandrake 8.1 Powerpack. Since then I have used 9.0 download then the 9.1 Powerpack single DVD version. I just installed 10.0 Official (Download version). Thinking ahead I am contemplating whether to go for the full 10.1 Powerpack or whether I should get the single DVD version and buy the Definitive Guide. The question I have is how much does the Definitive Guide differ from the 2 books that come with the Powerpack? The 2 books that came with the 8.1 Powerpack were okay as a beginner but really didn't go that in depth in terms of how to tweak things or administer your system. I work as a C++ developer, hence don't really need instructions on how to compile source code or install apps and definitely don't want to pay for information on how to use Open Office, Emacs or KDE. Instead I am interested in how to and what to configure script wise to get my system to run as I want it to. Any suggestions/advice/comments on the current range of Mandrake books would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

The online manual, RUTE, and your own knowledge should be enough. Mandy is becoming quite LSB compliant, so files can be found where you'd expect them to be. IMO
