Mandrake Control Centre tries to start automatically everytime I login

Hi,

Nothing critical here - just damn annoying!

Everytime I login to Mandrake 10.1 Official (using Gnome) I am always presented with 2 instances of the Mandrake Control Center - or the root password prompt to access them to be precise.

Where are these being told to launch automatically from? When I log into KDE it does not happen.

Anyone got any ideas?

Boot up your computer

Mandrake Control Center will load up

Close Mandrake control Center

Go to your "start" button

Log out

Log back in

BAM - Mandrake control Center is gone.

Now restart the computer.

Next time you boot up, Mandrake control Center will not boot up.

Actually set the "session manager" to start with a "clean" session as opposed to retaining the last session settings.

If you don't KDE will waste memory trying to load (but not always display!) your old windows opened upon prior logins.

Ah, never knew that option existed! I was always getting annoyed when KDE started up with things I had left open
