as a member you basically get to download the powerpack editiion instead of the standard three cd edition. Apart from that, you get ot download a few club rpms for testing but that does not amount to much, I think (I am a member). I don't think there is much of a difference between membership lelvels at the moment (there is some but so insignificant I forget what they were). It's more about contributing to mandrake than what you get out of it. If you like mandrake and intend to use it, join by all means, and if you can afford to pay more than the minimum do so. Just think about what you'd have to pay to get a windows equivalent - not just the os but all the software preconfigured for you - and it's not that much to pay 60 bucks a year for a membership which you don't even have to renew.
