Mandrake Boot Select

Well I while ago i installed mandrake 10 and stuff and installed the default mandrake boot selection onto the mbr.. I am pretty sure it was the mbr.

Then i decided to unistall mandrake so i just removed the partition with mandrake 10. Now comes the big problem. Even though I now have slackware and xp on my system, the mandrake boot loader still comes up everytime.. It allows me to start xp but i have to select it etc. Otherwise its just a bunch of boot options that dont work cause mandrake is not there.

How do i remove this boot loader? Can i wipe the mbr or something.. Im really clueless.

Talking general tips for multiboot systems

For future reference, when I set up a multiboot system with windows on it, I always use a partitioning tool to save the Windows MBR to a floppy. Only install linux and a bootloader after that has been done.
One of the extras that comes with Partition magic 8.0 (boot magic), can dynamically scan for installed systems and rebuild a boot loader for you. If you can boot up windows, you can install boot magic and get rid of the mandrake boot loader. After that, you should be able to get into the boot/system configuration in linux and reconfigure to grub or lilo boot loader if that is your preference. I know mandrake allows this, but I am unsure about other distros.
I hope this is helpful.
