Hi all. I just reloaded my Dell laptop with XP, and I left a 10GB partition for Linux. Since MDK 10 is fairly new, but MDK seems well supported, I thought I would load it and check it out. I had used Fedora in the past, but it seemed like I could never find apps for Fedora, perhaps because it was so new.
Anyway, besides the issues I am having with nvidia (I think I can fix these based on what I have read here though
), I noticed that when I boot with my wireless card in, Mandrake stops and asks me if I want to run the config tool. Then, if I take the card out, it asks again. And if I put it back in, it asks again. Because the card is an add-on card (not internal to the laptop), I take it out when I pack up the PC. So, it may or may not be in there when I boot.
Is this constant asking to configure the network unavoidable? I do not seem to remember having this issue with Fedora when I tried it out a while back.
I am fairly noobish with Linux, so apologies if this is a silly question.
Thanks in advance.
