Mandrake and my ADSL modem.

Hmm... i can't seem to find the drivers for my Billion USB ADSL Modem. The manufacturer only provides the RPM drivers for Redhat. Does this mean i can never dial with my modem in mandrake?

The same case for my i70 printer, but worst, NO drivers at all for linux.

Someone please assist! Thanks...

Otherwise i'll have to switch to Redhat, since i plan to surf and print documents with Linux.

Mandrake is based on RedHat.
Therefore all rpms for RH SHOULD work on Mandrake, but don't take my word for this.

The RH drivers for your modem will work under mandrake.

As for your printer, that is another problem.

I have a Canon S300 bubblejet printer and an Epson Photoperfection 1250 scanner.

They have the same thing in common, they only work well under windows.
They are both high qualitiy, but they are budget models. They make them cheap by shifting a lot of what should be internal processing to the OS. And it is all optimised for windoze.
I don't know who makes the i70, but you could be in a similar position.

Go to the mandrake supported hardware database to find out.
