i am having similar problems with my mouse - i will try that mouse=yes option you suggested ruggy - that sounds like a good idea.

I too am rather disapointed with mandrake 9.2 - although gnome looks fantastic! i love the GDM log in managers and the ease of use with themes (i last used gnome with debian a couple of years ago - uggghhhh) KDE has a fair few consistency issues, so i scrapped it.... which brings me to my biggest issue of late - how do i connect to the internet? pppd doesn't exist, wvdial doesn't exist, and the gnome modem monitor gives me an error (as is expected with no ppp files).... they are installed (i'm not that stupid) - but they do not work - how do i fix this?

And that Nvidia issue - i'd love to get my hands on the knob-head who decided that!
