Mandrake 9.2 install fails to find usb mouse

I started the HTTP install of Mdk 9.2 and when it got to the point where you choose your mouse it failed to find my USB mouse. It then gave an error about not being able to find a module and that possibly my boot disk was out of sync with the distrib. However, I made my bootdisk just a few minutes before attempting the install so I doubt this is correct.

Ne1 have any suggestions?
