Mandrake 9.1 or 10

My dad wants to try dualbooting linux/windows on his computer, I thought mandrake would be his best option for running linux, so i have some 9.1 cds somewhere... is it worth me downloading and installing mandrake 10 or should i just use those 9.1 cds?

Yeah, 9.2 was a bit of a hit-and-miss affair. Mandy 10 seems stable and complete enough, but with a few exceptions. I would certainly get any updates that are available. Oh, and if you're on dialup, a word of warning: the default KPPP that comes with M10 seems to be slightly broken. On several systems that I've tested now, it takes forever and a day to initialise the modem, it then dials and fails to connect. Very strange.
