Mandrake 10 Riva TNT 2 launch additional session problem

I installed Mandrake 10 on a machine with Riva TNT2 video card. It works but when I tried to launch an additional session using the KDE menu or using the command startx -- :1 the screen flashes several times and fails to start an additional session. This didn't happen on another machine with a different video card. On the same machine (with Riva TNT2) I had Mandrake 9.1 for quite sometime. I could start several sessions using command startx -- :1 although that KDE version didn't have the launcher in the start menu. The thing was in 9.1 I had to choose Riva TNT instead of Riva TNT2. Riva TNT2 didn't work at all. In Mandrake 10 I tried the same but when I changed the video card to Riva TNT the entire machine crashed. It only works with Riva TNT2 but cannot have multiple Xwindows sessions. Anybody can give me a clue on where to start?
