Mandrake 10 problem booting with internet

I have just updated from Mandrake 9.2 to Mandrake 10 and I am having problems getting my broadband internet connection working straight from the boot.

When booting I get a [failed] message next to "interface eth0" and I have to configure my connection every time in MCC. During this configuration I tell it to start up when booting, but no joy.

Does anyone have any ideas?

sekemp what version of 10 are you using? I got a similar message using 10 beta... The connection worked fine, just got the annoying message on boot and shutdown... This cleared up after installation of 10 CE ...

I am using Mandrake 10 Community Edition.

I can get online, but its just I have to keep on configuring the connection each time i turn-on/re-start my machine in the MCC.

Any help would be appreciated

In MCC, Manage Connections, check your IP settings etc. and see if they are correct, check the options and information tabs too...

It sounds like your settings are not being saved...
