Mandrake 10 Official Installation Problems
 

Hi, hope anyone could help me..

I have downloaded the Mandrake 10 official powerpack, burned the cd's but they dont boot, so i made a floppy, and when i boot with the floppy it says - : Cannot find ramdisk image - initrd.img

If you can not boot from the cd, there is either a problem with the cd itself, or with the downloaded iso.
Verify the downloaded image checksum with md5.

Well the md5 is all right.

Im new at this so... but i dont know if i have done it right,
I opened the iso and copied all the contained files to a cd - is that right ???

No use cd software that burns the iso directly to the cd. Nero in windows and every burning software in linux will work. Also if it can't find initrd.img you must have forgotten to copy that file.
