Mandrake 10 , KDE 3.2 - Writing to devices not supported

"Writing to devices not supported".

This message pops out whenever I try to save something to the floppy in KDE Mandrake 10. I was surprised since this is the first time I saw this error. I've been using Mandrake since 5.3. Has anyone encountered this?

Writing files through mtools, OpenOffice and normal mount works fine. But I'm administrating a computer facilitity at my university for end users. They don't have to use the command line.

Hi,

This is a weird bug. As far as I know, it should only say this if you try and cut and paste to the floppy (either from the menu or via ctrl+c and ctrl+v)

Try this: go to the directory which has the file you want to copy. Open a new window for the floppy drive. Drag the file from one window to another and choose "copy" from the menu that pops up when you let go of the file. It should now copy.

Dunno why it does that...
