Mandrake 10 instalation wont let me resize partition
I currently run windows xp on my entire hd. When I try to use the utility in mandrake 10, I get the error "Decice has bad sectors , not supported yet:"
Distribution: Mac OS X 10.6.4 "Snow Leopard", Win 7, Ubuntu 10.04

I'm not sure that Mandrake can resize NTFS partitions. Try using a third party partitioning tool like Partition Magic that will let you resize partitions. Resize the NTFS so that there is some non-partitioned space on your drive. Then go to install mandrake and use that space you just created to make your partitions and install.
mandrake can definitely resize ntfs partitions. The error message you get says what the problem is. There is a problem on the harddrive. Go into windows and run scandisk on the drive and see if you can get it fixed.
