Mandrake 10 hangs on bootup
 

Hi,

I had trouble booting up Mandrake 10 after installing it whereby it hung immediately after the "Configuring kernel parameters .... [OK]" line. Eventually it crashes with a stack dump complaining about IRQs.

As I could no work out what the problem was and the fact I could not boot up regardless I installed Mandrake 9.2 and then proceeded to upgrade to Mandrake 10.

However, I still have the problem if I try and bootup via the 2.6 kernel it still hangs, but I can boot up using the older Linux 2.4 kernel.

Any help or pointers would be appreciated :)
