Mandrake 10 Fresh Install + Mouse
USB Wacom Mouse
Fresh Formatted Drive installed Mandrake 10
Mouse works fine during install. Right when X starts, mouse goes to left side of screen and goes nuts, cant control it. First time using ANY PS2 USB Mouse, second time i selected generic USB 2 button mouse. Same thing, any hints or tricks to help me. Thanks.
Formatted to try and get rid of XP.

edit /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 with your favorite editor as root.
Check the section for the mouse. The protocol should be either "auto" or "IMPS/2". The device will be /dev/input/mice

I had a similar problem a number of years ago with mandrake 8 or so. The problem lied in the button mapping, but back then i was real noob so my roomate fixed it for me.
My Guess is that the reason it worked in the install is because it was just using the default settings for a PS2 or USB mouse, which ever you have.
