Then all you have to do is wait until the public isos are available for download. By the way, you can join the MandrakeClub for only 60 euros a year - 40 quid or so. That's what I did.

Don't forget, the powerpack has commercial software included, so it is illegal to ftp images of it for public download.

To get what? The "Community" isos are available now.

Jakkin 03-05-2004 11:03 AM

why the community iso is 4 CDs and the download edition is 3? what extra do you get from the community isos?

colnago 03-05-2004 11:20 AM

Here is the timeline:

20040304 10.0 Community Download edition (4 CDs) to all club members
20040312 10.0 Download 3 first CDs of download edition released to everyone
20040328 10.0 Official

Powerpack edition (5 CDs) to silver and above club members (available since the 4th). The power pack has commercial software included and will not be available for free download

Here ia a link for detailed package lists of the different versions:

Hmm... Should I get the community version now? Or should I wait for the powerpack to come out.

Decisions. Decisions.

:tisk: 6 more days...

You could go get Gentoo 2004.0... it looks really cool... if you want to spend 2 days installing it. 1 day to read how to install it and 1 day to do it. :D

Jakkin 03-06-2004 05:44 AM

I bought my powerpack from http://www.easylinuxcds.com/

8 pound something include delivery, bargain! :D

Andrakus 03-06-2004 07:30 AM

I am really excited to get MDK 10 on my computer, i have been looking for the torrents... no success. So mandrake members, please share the files :), have mercy, its the community release, we will help to find the bugs :)

Redeye2 03-06-2004 11:28 AM

Good link Jakkin, but I want the full 7cd version, probably on DVD so I think I have to wait :(

Someone needs to post the link to the DVD ISO that corporate club members get.
